Active Garden Review

Write for us

Active Garden Review welcomes pitches from writers who can make a garden subject clearer without promising a universal fix. We are interested in precise explanations, useful comparisons and well-shaped pieces about plants, garden spaces, materials and care.

What to pitch

Propose a focused subject that serves curious general readers. A strong pitch identifies the question, the main point the article will make, why it is useful, and the practical steps or distinctions a reader will take away. Evergreen ideas are welcome when they do not depend on unsupported claims or local rules.

A good fit

Keep the scope manageable and the language direct. Explain limits where conditions differ between gardens, and avoid presenting personal preference as a general rule. Do not send a finished article unless it has been requested; a short outline and a note about relevant experience are enough to start a conversation.

How to send a proposal

Send pitches through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a working title, a concise summary, the reader's main takeaway and any relevant links or supporting material you want us to consider. A proposal is not a commitment to publish.
